Tolik's family has commissioned the writing of a brand new Torah scroll to be placed in our synagogue as a loving and eternal honor to him. You are invited to participate in this sacred tribute to Tolik's memory.
 

Tolik's Torah Dedication

• You are invited to honor the memory of Tolik Rekhtman by participating in the writing of a new Torah scroll.

• A Torah scroll permanently placed in Tolik's synagogue that will be used on a regular basis for his beloved community, is a beautiful, loving, and eternal honor to his memory.

• During his life time, Tolik expressed his wish to dedicate a Torah. Now you can be part of Tolik's wish.

What is a Torah and why dedicate a Torah scroll?

• The Torah is our precious treasure, surviving in its original form for more than 3330 years and sustaining the Jewish people throughout history.

• The 613th and final mitzvah in the Torah is that every Jew writes their own Torah scroll. Our Rabbis have taught that one can fulfill this mitzvah by dedicating a portion or even one letter in a Torah.

• A powerful unity is expressed when people get together to dedicate a Torah.

• Tolik loved people and his community, and loved to get people together.

About dedications to Tolik's Torah

• All dedications will be listed in a special dedication book presented to Tolik's family.

• Dedications at the Chapter level and above will receive a custom certificate with your dedication selection.

• Dedications at the Portion level and above will have the opportunity to write a letter in the Torah at the conclusion of writing ceremony.

• For your convenience, payments can be spread for 12 months.
