All outdoor Simchas Torah Celebration on Fair Lawn Avenue
Saturday Night, October 10 starting 7:00pm
Rather than Shelter in place… Dance in place!!!!!
Simchas Torah celebration will proceed this year all outdoors on Fair Lawn Avenue with police presence throughout the evening.
All are invited to participate in this unique display of Jewish pride.

Simchas Torah Schedule:
Fair Lawn Ave, between Radburn Rd. and Well Dr. will be closed by Fair Lawn police from 7pm- 9pm.
7:00pm: evening service (Maariv) on Fair Lawn Ave.
7:10pm: and on, Family candle lighting in the front entrance to synagogue.
7:15pm: Kiddush and Havdalah ceremony, Hot Buffet and bar opens.
7:35pm: Torahs are brought out and dancing in place begins.
Approx. 8:45pm: Formal dancing ends and goodie bags are given out to children.
Dancing and fun continue into the night...
Dancing in place definition:
Please social distance from others not in your immediate family, we will sing and dance in the place we are standing. There will also be a small circle of people holding the Torahs and dancing in a large socially distant circle.
Please follow the safety guidelines to ensure a safe experience:
- Please wear a mask.
- When eating/not wearing a mask, make sure to distance from others not in your immediate family.
- Dinner will be served by servers at the buffet.
- The Torahs will be brought out as usual, we encourage everyone to dance in place with your immediate family members.
- All are welcome to hold a Torah for dancing if you're comfortable doing so.
- We all love the Torah, but this year please do not kiss the Torahs.
