Hebrew School October 27th
Hebrew school is in full swing! Alef Bet, hebrew reading, prayers, creation of the world and creating timelines of Jewish history. Oldest boys class explored the items and structure in the synagogue, while the older girls class began studying about great Jewish women in history.
Hebrew School Celebrate Sukkos
Hebrew school children enjoyed pizza in the Sukkah, shaking the lulav and esrog, sukkah building competition, and getting ready for Simchat Torah with making flags, composing Simchat Torah songs and Torah crafts!
Family Sukkos Party
Family Sukkos Party was enjoyed by all with a petting zoo, pony rides, dinner in the Sukkah, face painting and shake the lulav and esrog!
Jteens Sushi in the Sukkah
Jteens celebrate Sukkos! The rain can't stop us! Shaking the lulav, sushi and ice cream, learning about the holiday and packing gift bags for children for Simchat Torah!
Hebrew School October 6th
Preparing for Yom Kippur, Hebrew school students learned about the concepts of Teshuvah, forgiveness, lessons from the story of Yonah and the Fish, practiced Yom Kippur prayers, and about Yom Kippur being a joyful holiday because we are confident that G-d will give us a good year! We also did the mitzvah of Tashlich, getting rid of our past mistakes and getting a fresh start!
