Our Website is dedicated to Rebbetzin Chaya Esther Zaltzman OB”M, who together with her husband, our dear Rabbi Berel Zaltzman, may he live & be well, established the Fair Lawn Jewish Russian community. They moved to Fair Lawn in 1993, and until her last day when she tragically passed away in a car accident on the eve of Yom Kippur of 5765 (2004), she warmed the hearts of countless Jews in her community with her simple wisdom, foresight and loving nonjudgmental approach, which she always said she learned from the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Rebbetzin Chaya Esther OB”M thoughtfully helped people in a loving gentle manner, showing compassion, sensitivity & respect in a purely Jewish way. She spoke of caring for others and making a positive difference in one more person’s life.
Even now, we are sure she is looking down at us happily, knowing that we are growing expanding and bringing Judaism one step closer to peoples hearts.
