Dear Friend,
As the special holiday of Shavuos - the anniversary of the giving of the Torah - approaches, we want to wish you and your entire family, health and happiness, and may we all receive the Torah again with renewed vigor and excitement just as if it were being given to us for the first time.
On Friday, May 29, read the 10 commandments with your family and children, discuss the survival of the Jewish people throughout history thanks to the Jews always keeping the Torah, being connected to G-d, and never giving into changing environments.
It is also customary to eat dairy on Friday.
Yizkor is recited on Saturday, May 30.
Below please find resources that will help you celebrate this holiday at home.
You will find things like Yizkor text, 10 commandements, candle and memorial lighting information and much more.
